Alexander Wang how I love you. Such an amazing show. My favorite designers are the ones that turn out beautiful clothes but also create an amazing visual show. Alexander Mcqueen, Marc Jacobs and Alex Wang all have that amazing, creative, innovative style of putting on an amazing show with beautifully constructed clothes.

I love how innovative he is. Reading up on the collection, over 90% of the fabrics were custom developed which is quite amazing. In a time where all we see is knock offs and it can feel like nothing is ever new, it is so refreshing to see him creating such newness starting with the actual materials. Also doesn't hurt to include some supermodels in the show.

A+, amazing show and collection. There are some amazing pieces I definitely would like to add in my wardrobe. (Those knee high boots=dying, although equally amazing are the maryjanes, boxy bags and rich , textured clothes w/ his classic draping, new fringe and sheen). Love the laquered look and high slits on everything. Newness in slick and sleek outerwear. Beautiful and exciting.

So its been a minute since I've been on here but thinking its time to be back! A year break, no big deal. Excited for 2012, this past year has been amazing with a move to New York and new position at my company. Going to make sure I stay creative in the New Year, lots of exciting plans that I am actually going to follow through on. Above is some inspiration for the moment. Lots of jewels, hats and not so much on the winter wear.... being home in CA for Christmas has already made me forget east coast weather. Hanging by the pool on xmas, whattt?? Although it hasn't even been that cold yet. Should be an interesting winter;)

Pictures were all saved to my computer..... I know most are pursenboots... she is amazing, love everything she wears, think she is my style twin. Well except that I would die for her closet, she has some amaz pieces and seems pretty rad. Anddd the rest?? fashiontoast, coveteur, etc??

Even though the clothes weren't my favorite he has ever showed, I thought Alexander Wang did show some amazing items for Spring..... Starting with:

1. The shoes. Love the lace up booties in the perfect shades of camel and grey.

2. This amazing x back of a dress. Its gorgeous.

3. Loving this wrap dress. I would wear it with all black.

Gorgeous collection as usual from Rodarte. Its not like I choose to only like the same collections every season.... the same designers just happen to impress and inspire me most seasons! Except Alexander Wang... usually one of my all time favorites, I was not loving what he showed for Spring 2011... although the shoes did look nice. Surprising since his Fall 2010 was one of my all time favorite collections. But back to Rodarte.... I thought they showed a gorgeous collection. I loved that most of the looks incorporated gold tones, and those shoes.... there are really no words... they are insanely beautiful!!!! And most of the models walking had the gorgeous faded hair color. At this point I will never acheive the look because everytime my roots grow in I decide to color my hair... its my own fault I know! I loved how they once again incorporated different textures and layering, although it did have a more refined feel. They have a beautiful aesthetic, and I do hope they get bought by LVMH, because it can only help them grow and really get their name out there. They really show gorgeous clothes that are unlike anything else, and I love how they get inspiration from such random things, such as the redwoods for this collection. I can not wait to see The Black Swan, which besides looking really good and slightly creepy, features ballet costumes designed by Rodarte. Sure to be amazing.

MARC JACOBS SPRING 2011=AMAZING

Marc never ceases to amaze me. He went from his gorgeous fall collection of beautiful proper women to this wonderful Spring 2011 collection inspired by the 70's, YSL, and Missoni. I absolutely loved it. I watched the show online last night, which can we viewed here. Marc always has a complete vision, and doesn't leave out a single detail. Although I woudn't wear all of the outfits, I would love to incorporate some of the pieces into my wardrobe... (Heres to wishful thinking!) I love that he has so many visions, from his famous grunge collection for Perry Ellis, to this, he is an amazing designer, and it is my favorite collection I have seen for Spring. I can't wait to see the Vuitton show during Paris Fashion Week, I'm sure it will also be amazing! If you want some extra Marc time, you must watch this documentary .... I absolutely love it! Marc is so adorable.

A few of my favorite Spring 2011 Collections so far..... I will always love 90's/Grunge as you know if you read this blog! So Charlotte Ronson was an obvious choice....love the floral prints, beanies, boots, and that pop of orange color....which I also loved from Peter Som. I thought his shoes loved amazing, and he showed some great silhouettes. Then there is DVF.... who is known for her great prints and she did not fail to please. Loving that tribal print, cobalt harem pant, and great jumpsuit.

So beautiful to see the McQueen dress from his last collection worn in real life and not just an editorial. At the same time it makes me sad once again, since we will never again get to see his creative genius. Alexander McQueen will forever be missed, but at least we have his gorgeous clothes to remember him by. Him and Lady Gaga were very close and she wore all McQueen in the Bad Romance video, so I love that she wore this dress tonight along with his famous armadillo heels, and thanked him in her speech. He will truly be missed♥

I also buy cheap pieces to mix in, but always paint the inside with clear nailpolish.... definitely don't want green fingers!

Statement rings are an easy way to update your wardrobe, and if you are anything like me you will wear them on a daily basis. I dont care how big they are, I think it looks best wearing several statement rings at once and lots of bracelets, think Mary Kate as your inspiration. Her style is amazing and she usually has loads of jewelry on, sometimes with something as basic as a

rocker tee.

Miu Miu Inspired Mary Janes

I picked up these Miu Miu inspired Platform Mary Janes yesterday at Forever... they are amazing!!! Yes they are missing the beautiful prints that Miuccia did, but they are the exact style and shape as the originals and at a much cheaper cost. Think I am possibly in love... I have been obsessed with the originals forever, as you can tell from the post below. I am also possibly developing a major shoe problem... I have bought 3 pairs in the last week! They were all necessary to my life though... more pictures to come, I need to do some outfit posts soon.

Alsooooo I have been working on my accessory line and will be launching an etsy shop sometime next month... all very exciting. I will post some pictures of the newest designs very soon!

Considering that 99% of my wardrobe is black in some way it's surprising how much I have been gravitating towards nude colorways lately. Black clothes and shoes will always be my go to staple, but for spring I am definitely loving this refreshingly clean color palette. Amazing. Kate and Laura Mulleavy said the theme was sleepwalkers, middle of the night dream dressing inspired by Jaurez, Mexico. The collection showed lace, chiffon and pearl details, light airy dresses, and that layered mix of prints and textures that Rodarte is known for. Loved the nude colorways, pale softness with a dark edge.

Lee Alexander McQueen was one of my favorite designers ever. He was so talented, always pushing the envelope and coming up with fresh new designs that were unlike anything we had seen. He was so creative and innovative, and the news of his death is so tragic, I was unbelievably devestated when I heard. Hopefully he is in a better place now.... his collections will continue to inspire and are beautiful works of art.
